Al-Mu'min; The One Who Gives Security
Al-Mu'min is one of the 99 names or attributes of Allah in Islam. It is commonly translated as "The Guardian of Faith" or "The One Who Gives Security."
The name Al-Mu'min appears twice in the Quran, in verses 23:117 and 59:23. In both instances, it is used to describe Allah as the one who gives peace and security to believers.
The following verse is verse 23:117;
Whoever invokes, besides Allah, another god—for which they can have no proof—they will surely find their penalty with their Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will never succeed.
As "The Guardian of Faith," Al-Mu'min is seen as the protector and sustainer of believers' faith, providing them with the strength and security they need to continue on their spiritual path. This name is also associated with the idea of trustworthiness, as Allah is considered the ultimate source of truth and reliability.
Moreover, the name Al-Mu'min also implies that Allah is the one who grants belief and faith to humanity. It reminds believers that their faith is not something they can create on their own, but rather a gift from Allah that they must nurture and protect.
Al-Mu'min is a Jamali name, and reciting it 631 times will keep you safe from anguish.
In summary, the name Al-Mu'min is a powerful reminder of Allah's role as the protector and sustainer of faith, as well as the ultimate source of trust and reliability for believers. It also underscores the importance of gratitude and humility in recognizing the gift of faith that Allah has bestowed upon humanity.
