Al-Mu'izz; The Bestower
One of the most beautiful and powerful names of Allah is Al-Mu'izz, which means "The Bestower of Honor" or "The Giver of Dignity". This name is mentioned in the Quran several times, and it carries a deep and profound meaning that can inspire and enlighten us in many ways.
Al-Mu'izz is the one who grants honor and dignity to His servants. He raises them up and gives them strength and power, both in this world and in the hereafter. He is the source of all honor and glory, and He bestows it upon those who believe in Him and follows His commands.
It is said in the Holy Quran:
"Whoever desires honor [through power] – then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those – it will perish." (35:10)
The name Al-Mu'izz also reminds us that true honor and dignity come from Allah alone. We should not seek honor from others or depend on their approval to feel good about ourselves. Rather, we should seek the approval of Allah and strive to please Him in everything we do. When we do this, we will find true honor and dignity that cannot be taken away by anyone.
Al-Mu'izz is a Jalali name and by reciting this name 140 times after Maghrib prayer either on Monday or on Friday, Allah will make the reciter majestic in the eyes of other people.
Furthermore, the name Al-Mu'izz teaches us the importance of treating others with respect and honor. We should not look down upon others or treat them unfairly. Instead, we should honor them as fellow human beings and treat them with kindness and compassion. By doing so, we will earn the favor and blessings of Allah, who loves those who are humble and kind to others.
In conclusion, the name Al-Mu'izz is a powerful reminder of the greatness and generosity of Allah. It teaches us to seek true honor and dignity from Him alone, to treat others with respect and kindness, and to strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
May Allah bless us all with His grace and honor, and guide us on the path of righteousness.
Take care of yourselves.
